The Mexican Independence Day Celebration at the Old Globe is Saturday, Sept.12, 2026 from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Visitors are welcomed onto our campus to attend our fun and festive AXIS events which are designed for the whole family. AXIS is a free, outdoor, multi-generational program that celebrates the cultural diversity of San Diego by inviting local artists and craftspeople to share their cultural traditions and heritage on the Globe’s Copley Plaza. Performances feature, dance, music, workshops, crafts and so much more.
