| Holo Holo Music Festival Holo Holo Music Festival was born from a love of island and reggae music—a genre deeply rooted in connection, culture, and movement. The festival first set sail in 2022 at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University, bringing together fans to celebrate the vibrant sounds of the islands. With the spirit of holo holo—meaning "to travel, to sail, to move"—the event quickly expanded, reaching new shores in Las Vegas and Sacramento in 2023. By 2024, its journey continued with a highly anticipated stop in San Diego. Now, in 2026, we're excited to take Holo Holo even further, bringing the music and community to Oceanside, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Tacoma, San Diego, Hawai'i, Irvine, and San Jose! As we continue to move and grow, the festival remains a space for connection—where fans can gather for two days of unforgettable performances, incredible food, and the shared love of island and reggae music. Giacomo Puccini’s one-act masterpiece Il Tabarro, Italian for The Cloak, is a dramatic story of love, jealousy, and betrayal. Set aboard a river barge in Paris at the turn of the century, the soul-stirring melodies will transport you to a foggy night of deception and death. Il Tabarro is the least-performed of the three operas in Puccini’s triple-bill Il Trittico (The Triptych). While companies frequently mount double bills of Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, they usually overlook “Il Tabarro,” the first opera Puccini composed in the trio. In just one hour, you’ll be spellbound by the beauty and power of this music, whether you’re a devoted opera fan or a first-timer. That’s just half of the program, though. After the intermission, you’ll see the same story told in a completely different way: through neoclassical ballet. Featuring original choreography, this brand new adaptation of Il Tabarro reverses the narrative as the characters are now silent, speaking only through mesmerizingly expressive movements. A pioneer of the Norteño genre, Ayala blended Mexican folk music with polka rhythms, shaping the sound of regional Mexican music. In the 1960s, he formed Los Relámpagos del Norte, producing numerous hits, and later founded his iconic band, Ramón Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte. With over 100 albums and several Grammy Awards, his influence spans five decades.

Though their name means Give/Take in the old language, DakhaBrakha is new Ukraine, both pre-colonial and post-Soviet, working within a global network of art and music. They aim to help audiences see Ukraine not as a monolith, but as a cosmopolitan culture that takes in other cultures, and gives in return.

The band name "DOES" is derived from the word for a female deer (doe). Their raw energy quickly caught the attention of major labels in Tokyo, leading to their major debut with Ki/oon Records (Sony Music) in 2006. 2007 – 2010: Breaking into the Mainstream The band skyrocketed to fame with the single "Shura," used as the ending theme for the TV anime "Gintama," debuting at No. 9 on the Oricon charts. Their 2008 single "Donten" climbed to No. 3, becoming a massive hit with over 200,000 digital downloads—a rare feat for a rock band at the time. In 2009, they appeared in the blockbuster film Crows Zero II (directed by Takashi Miike), where they performed on screen.
