Viva La Raza: Reflections on San Diego’s Chican@ Movement is a multigenerational exhibition presented by The Woo in collaboration with Subcultura Curation in Barrio Logan, one of San Diego’s recognized cultural districts. Opening Saturday, April 11, 2026, the exhibition is inspired by the resistance, cultural pride, and community movement surrounding Chicano Park Day (April 25) and will be on view throughout that weekend. Through visual art, archival materials, photography, and storytelling, "Viva La Raza" brings together multiple perspectives reflecting the history, culture, and creative spirit of San Diego’s Chican@ community. The exhibition features Aztlan Archives as a central historical anchor, a focus on the Queer Chicanx experience in collaboration with Lambda Archives of San Diego, a community-led photography exhibition by Manuel Ceniceros and "All For Logan," and a solo presentation of new works by BRISK ONE. Together, these elements highlight both the legacy and ongoing evolution of the movement in San Diego. The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to reflect on the histories, cultural contributions, and creative expressions that continue to define and inspire the region today.
