An invitation to understand Philippine specialty coffee beyond taste, through the lens of labor, land, and long-term relationships. Tere Domine of Kalsada Coffee reveals how relationships are built and maintained between Philippine smallholder communities and the specialty coffee industry. The film also observes the realities these producers face within a Western-led market that continues to demand more while offering less stability. A short Q&A and discussion will follow the screening. Sitio San Roque from Pangantucan, Bukidnon will be available as pourover and espresso, and a spiced cascara tea from Sitio Belis in Atok, Benguet will be served as the event’s signature drink.
