The Joyce Forum Short Film Festival

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
After many successful years as a single-day event, as part of the San Diego International Jewish Film Festival, the Joyce Forum has blossomed into its own two-day festival. The first-ever international, standalone Jewish short film festival offers imagination-stretching short films from across the globe and from almost every cinematic genre: documentary, drama, comedy, horror, animation and more.

The Joyce Forum Short Film Festival will take place from Oct. 6 to 7 (with an additional evening of shorts on Oct. 8 for a Brews and Views event).

We believe this festival is the first of its kind across the globe, and it has already received over 130 film submissions with Jewish content from 17 countries! This film festival will showcase elements of Jewish life, history and culture, as well as films created by Jewish filmmakers. Q&A's and discussions with renowned filmmakers and other special guests will be included to enhance your festival experience.

Israeli short films are presented in partnership with The Murray Galinson San Diego-Israel Initiative, who have invited Israeli filmmakers to San Diego for a two-week artist residency.
