The young Peer Gynt, cocky, rebellious, and sharply irreverent, leaves his family?s home to venture out on his own. His journey becomes a quest and a lifelong pursuit of?himself. On the way he meets up with a host of characters, commits crimes, travels to North Africa and eventually, as a middle aged man, returns home. Though he doesn?t deserve it, the woman who loves him is waiting for him there.
