This concert features the Gamelan Ensemble, performing music of Bali, Indonesia, and the Mariachi Ensemble. Tyler Yamin and Alex Khalil direct the Gamelan Ensemble, which showcases gongs, metallophones, chimes, drums and intricate interlocking parts. Serafin Paredes directs the Mariachi Ensemble, which features repertoires from the US and Mexico with violins, trumpets, vihuela, guitarron, guitars, and vocals. Both ensembles may include dance.
