This talk will feature Dr. Rachel Buff, among other guests, who will speak on her latest book which brings to light a critical but forgotten legacy of multiracial immigrant rights organizing and advocacy. This history provides lessons and insights to today's efforts to counteract mass detention and deportation of a new generation of immigrants. Other guests will discuss the topic as it affects people in the local community. The lecture will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
