Blind since birth, Raul Mid?n is celebrated as one of music's most distinctive and searching voices. Described by the New York times as ?A one-man band... who is spiritually connected,? the New Mexico native has released nine albums with his most recent hit ?Bad Ass and Blind? released in March 2017. In an effort to bring his most recent release to life, Mid?n has curated an interactive new show and outreach program that invites the audience to share his blind experience. Complemented by his silky tenor voice, his guitar playing is a syncopated, flamenco- and jazz-infused wonder in which bass, harmony and melodic lines fly from the fretboard in a way that seems to belie the fact that all the music is being produced by just two hands. If that weren?t enough, Mid?n keeps the audience on their toes with his mouth-horn technique, in which he creates a bebop ?trumpet? solo entirely with his lips.
