Introducing the new book, Chicana Tributes: Stories for the New Generation. This book honors 61 women activists and authors of the Civil Right's Movement. A book signing by editors Rita Sanchez and Sonia Lopez will take place at the Women's Museum of California.
This book documents the experiences of sixty-one women who flourished in the ferment of the civil ethnic/women's rights movements of the late twentieth century and beyond. While each life is unique, collectively they demonstrate the benefits gained when a community and a society unleashed and fosters the potential of women who create. organize, and lead.
