Chicana Tributes tells the story of 61 women activists who have inspired others and who?s lives are examples for the next generation. Many of the women who are in the book will be present at the reception. They have been important in the development of the women?s and civil rights struggles here locally. Editors: Rita Sanchez is professor emerita of Mesa College and Sonia Lopez is a retired counselor for at-risk youth for the Sweetwater School District.
