Musica Vitale performs vibrant piano and choral works by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, with the singers joined by Brazilian pianist Vania Pimentel, currently based in Houston. The music of Villa-Lobos features a panoply of classical, romantic, and 20th-century harmonies, and employs bossa nova rhythms as well as sacred traditions.
