World-music bands including Sister Carol, Black Slate, Rob Symeonn, JAM Kwest, Quinto Sol, Layne Tadesse, Empress Akua, and more, Native American & African drum and dance groups, Afro-Cuban dance & percussion, Brazilian samba, and Japanese taiko drumming will all be part of the entertainment presented during Earth Day 2017. In addition the event features the world's largest seed swap, heirloom organic plants for sale, and guest speakers including perma-culture expert Matt Monarch and Dale Eblacas, founder of the San Diego Seed Library. With over 50 arts and crafts vendors, global flavored food, children's earth crafts, and WorldBeat Center Garden activities, the annual Multicultural Earth Day event takes shape as a celebration of spring and the natural world.
