Join the Chinese Historical Museum for an exclusive panel and exhibition with three artists: Yan Qu, Fen Weng, Jing Zuo, as they discuss how art can be used to better humanity. Professor and Curator Meiqin Wang will moderate this interesting discussion.

In the past decade, socially engaged art has become an important artistic movement in Mainland China. It addresses various problems brought about by China?s development, including capitalism, urbanization, and politics. This exciting panel and exhibition introduces the work of leading contemporary Chinese artists who have taken their practices to the countryside. These artists hope to revitalize the deprived rural regions through collaborative art and cultural activities, such as field research, art festivals, exhibitions, architectural preservation, educational programs, and agricultural product designs.
