El Cajon Oktoberfest

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
A family-friendly festival promoting traditional German culture, including entertainment provided by Guggenbach-Buam, who join us from Baden-W?rttemberg, Germany. Enjoy folk dances, games, and contests, vendor booths and craft stands, and let your youngsters go crazy in the Kids? Zone. Raffle tickets can be purchased throughout the entire festival, with frequent door prize drawings, too. Try authentic German food such as bratwurst, ox-on-the-spit, potato salad, potato pancakes, pretzels, sauerkraut, and red cabbage, plus a variety of German pastries. Soft drinks and adult beverages are sold, featuring a selection of German beers on draft, plus wine and a full bar.

On Saturday, October 1, at 4 pm, join us for our opening parade and ceremonial Tapping the Wooden Keg. On Sunday, October 9, we hold our wacky Chicken Hat Day, with a chicken hat contest in the after12:00 PM (noon) for laughs and prizes. And at 8 that evening, we?ll draw a winner for the Grand Prize, a round-trip ticket for two to Germany courtesy of Condor Airlines.
