Sanford Lakoff (PH.D.), Edward A. Dickson Professor Emeritus of Political Science at UCSD and the Founding Chair of the Department of Political Science, will discuss ?New Thoughts for an Ancient Land: A Suggestion for Mid-East Peace, with Citizenship, Self-Determination, and Treaty-based Governance.? His presentation will include a thoughtful analysis of a possible path toward peace. Dr. Lakoff has written or edited eleven books and published approximately 50 scholarly articles and contributed to the ?Dictionary of the History of Ideas?, the ?Encyclopedia of Democracy?, the ?Encyclopedia of U.S. Foreign Relations,? and the ?Encyclopedia of Nationalism.?
