In today?s global economy, most business projects are conducted in multiple countries and cultures, which increases the complexity given the need to understand local culture and practices, laws and ethics, politics, resources and more. Based on extensive research in anthropology, cross-cultural psychology, leadership, and organizational behavior, this seminar will review the impact of culture and diversity on group dynamics and project management. It will provide a thorough review of relevant theories and will apply them to helping participants develop the cultural mindset that is essential to effective international leadership and the establishment of sound processes, metrics and reward systems that assure project attainment.

Understand the various models of national cultures that have application to leading cross-cultural projects including: Hall, Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck, Hoftstede, Tromprenaars and GLOBE.
Identify communication and management issues regarding group diversity and dispersion that influences the success of international virtual teams.
Assess the different steps in managing an integrated international project, including: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and close up.
Identify and assess sources of international risk management, including ethical and cultural topics.
