Jews around the world observe Shabbat (the Sabbath) as a day of rest and spiritual enrichment which is celebrated through prayer, a festive meal, refraining from work or physical activity and reflecting on life outside of one?s daily routine. The exhibit, Revisiting Shabbat, features contemporary depictions of Shabbat through the works of several San Diego artists in a wide variety of mediums and interpretations.
