Cinema @ The Balboa is a new film series at the Balboa Theatre that will showcase everything from classic and art house movies to documentaries and concert films.
The series gears up for December's highly-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" release with a screening of "'The Hidden Fortress."
Akira Kurosawa's 1958 Japanese film inspired the Star Wars series, moving George Lucas to evolve epic Samurai Warriors into unforgettable Jedi Knights.
The classic film follows two greedy peasants, lured by gold, that escort a man and woman across enemy lines. However, they don't realize that their companions are actually a princess and her general.
This film is presented with the Pacific Arts Movement.
