Adventures by the Book invites you to join them at a special dinner and literary event to help raise funds for immigrant survivors of domestic violence. Saving Beverly was inspired by the many women who confided to Soliven that The Mango Bride resonated with their own lives. In the novel, an impoverished Beverly Obejas migrates to America in search of love and prosperity. Her immigrant dream turns into a nightmare at the hands of her abusive husband.
Your evening Adventure begins with an intimate meet and greet with Ambassador Thomas, followed by dinner, a silent auction, and presentations by the distinguished speakers.
Due to the special nature of this event, tickets are non-refundable. Please note that no physical tickets shall be issued.
