Formed in 2007 on the Greek island of Amorgos, the trio is: gifted violinist Jaime Smith, a native Californian who went to Greece on a Fullbright scholarship and has been living and performing there for 13 years; celebrated bouzouki player, songwriter and vocalist Orestis Koletsos; and Greek recording artist and Byzantine music scholar Apostolis Kounis, who also plays guitar and oud.
