Schjetnan is CEO of Grupo de Diseno Urbano, Mexico City. For 37 years, the firm has executed a wide range of projects, including diverse typologies and scales in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture, and has been distinguished with national and international awards in all.
Schjetnan?s best and more recognized work is in public realm projects, in particular the design of large urban parks like Parque Tezozomoc in Mexico City, El Cedazo Park in Aguascalientes, and Parque Ecol?gico Xochimilco. Several of his buildings have been recognized such as the Archaeological Museum of the Northern Cultures of Mexico in Paquim?, and his recent project in the Archaeological and Ecological Reserve of Bahias de Huatulco.
Schjetnan views public parks and spaces as an expression for environmental justice, urban elements of order and reference, of ecological balance, and spaces that make a city ?breathe.?
