SDWAC President, David Edick, will provide an Update on the Ukraine Crisis, discussing the developments in the eastern part of the country, where the Ukrainian military and pro-Kiev forces continue to confront pro-Russian separatist forces in and around Donetsk, a city once populated by more than 1 million people; he will give his views as to where the region is going. David Edick will also present the impact on policy and politics in Western Europe.

Members who have studied this situation and would like to reserve 5 minutes to present their views should advise Cy, , by September 3. David Edick Jr. provides independent financial & management consulting on energy, commodities, Russia, political risk, and global financial markets. David graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Political Economy. He has long been active in international trade, investment banking, and nonprofit civil society. David worked in Russia in the 1990's, in food wholesale and importation, then latterly with Vtoroi Finansovyi Dom, a British-Russian investment bank. He was Executive Vice President of Cortez Seafoods, exporting seafood from Mexico to Europe. David is President of the World Affairs Council of San Diego, President of the San Diego International Sister Cities Association and 6-term past President of the San Diego-Vladivostok Sister City Society.
