Cathleen Chilcote Wallace is a Luise?o storyteller, writer, and elementary school teacher. In her unique storytelling program, Native Talk, she shares traditional and original Native American tales to promote awareness of Southern California native culture and history. Cathleen integrates the stories and history with Native American tools, clothing, baskets, musical instruments, and toys.
Native Talk emphasizes conservation and environmental preservation. Audiences of all ages enjoy her engaging presentations at schools, museums, nature centers, youth groups, and a variety of other venues. Her storytelling helps students discover the joys of reading and lifelong learning.
