Feuding clans. Clever women. Brave warriors. Fairies and selkies. Ghosts. Scottish legends have it all. And this year the Highland Games has added a special show just for storytelling.
Five popular storytellers, well-known nationally, will kick off the Highland Games weekend with "Sea Spells and Moor Magic: Tales and Legends from Scotland."
Featured storytellers will be Marilyn McPhie, Charles Johnson, David Schmidt, Aunt Li-Anne, and Jessica Baris. Charles Johnson will also be telling stories at the games on Saturday and Sunday.
The storytellers will be joined by local band The Lacemakers, taking audiences on a melodic journey to the Scottish highlands.
