The early music vocal ensemble Pacific Camerata celebrates 20 years of making music in San Diego with a festive concert of Italian music from the late Renaissance into the early Baroque. This program will feature music by two of the most illustrious of the ?Lombard Nuns,? Isabella Leonarda and Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, including Leonarda?s powerful ?Dixit Dominus.? as well as madrigals and motets by Palestrina, Carlo da Gesualdo, Pomponio Nenna, Giaches de Wert, as well as the sparkling ?O Magnum Mysterium? for Double Choir, by Giovanni Gabrieli. For this special event, Camerata will be joined by a number of ?alumni? singers, as well as by an instrumental ensemble.
