Old Masters of Music and Art: Pacific Camerata

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
The vocal ensemble Pacific Camerata presents a sampling of works from the early Baroque, with music by Monteverdi, Margarita Cozzolani, and others. During this vibrant time, northern Italy was at the cutting edge of Western music. Fuller harmonies and concerted music were heard in the artistic centers of Rome, Florence, and Venice, and also in the convents of Lombardy, which boasted some of the most impressive music of the day.

These unique concerts of vocals and instruments from the Medieval, Baroque, and Renaissance periods are performed among the European paintings in the Hibben Gallery.
