Hola America is a story about the impact of the Illegal immigration issue on the families, especially on the most vulnerable group of our society, children. The film follows a brother and sister from a modest family from Mexico who entered the US following a group of immigrants guided by a coyote to see their undocumented father, but soon they will find themselves on the streets of San Diego, California. The children find themselves in a very different world where they face all kinds of social, financial, cultural and emotional hardships. This story depicts the struggle of survivors of undocumented Immigrants' children. This film was shot in San Diego with 95% of the cast and crew San Diego natives.
