Opera NEO, a summer opera festival based in San Diego, is presenting The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart. The premise is that Figaro is getting married today, as long as he can keep his fianc?e Susanna out of the hands of his boss, the Governor. Together, with the help of the First Lady, they conspire to expose and embarrass the skirt-chasing politician. Mischievous schemes, paternity disputes and mistaken identities take center stage in Mozart?s delightfully wicked masterpiece.
The opera will be performed in two acts, sung in Italian with English subtitles and performed with the Opera NEO Chamber Orchestra.
