The yearly lawn program for the House of Columbia is held on July 20th every year coinciding with the country's Independence Day. The entertainment comes from a hired professional dance and ballet group who are performing folklore dances of Colombia in their native costumes. A band will play and sing traditional Columbian pieces.
Foods offered for sale will include: Colombian Tamales, arepas (plum cake), plantanos (fried bananas), empanadas (meat filled turnovers), fried pudding, natilla, a desert and salpicon (fruit).
