The paintings explore how sacred texts from the Koran, Arabic proverbs, sayings and letters intertwine with designs extracted from woodcarvings, architecture, patterns, and oriental carpets. Sinno?s paintings mirror artifacts, long lost parchments, fabric and carpets.
Nouha Sinno is a Lebanese-American based in Los Angeles. She has shown in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and the Middle East.
