House of Spain, Casa de Espa?a, through the courtesy of the U.S. Navy, Naval Base Point Loma, will be celebrating the 210th anniversary of the Battle of San Diego Bay, a skirmish that took place on San Diego Bay between the Spanish Colonial Government and a U.S. registered sailing ship in 1803.
The celebration will take place at the point where the action took place, the Naval Base Point Loma, starting with the 1803 Flag raising ceremony and the national anthems of Spain and the United States.
A variety of dishes including paella, wine, beer, soft drinks and water will be available at a no-host event after the ceremony. Enjoy a Flamenco show and other dances, presented by Do?a Juanita Franco, and her Classical Spanish Dance Academy ?Ole Flamenco?.
